the ones that are my beloved friends and admirable crusaders anyway
because we are awesome and actually have different and interesting things to say that matter and aren’t about being a jerk

Excellent (assuming you mean me Charlette and not an other-Charlotte). We can be angry and feminist and talk about comics, with occasional squee. I even have a tagline, which I said in conversation earlier today:
“We love comics (but they don’t always love us). Ranting for justice!”

Oh dear god, I watched the 2nd episode of Comic Book Men (which I’m assuming this is in reaction to?) and holy fucking crap, the sexist and ableist shit they said about Barbara Gordon, uhhhg.
I’ve realized though, the show isn’t so much about comics or people who like comics as it is about Kevin Smith’s old buddies. Meh.
