I love this to pieces.
It’s a fun piece of art, to be sure.
But I have a MINI-RANT! (It is largely unrelated to this particular piece of art, and I don’t mean to detract from anyone’s enjoyment of it.)
I’m starting to get really tired of fanart constantly portraying Babs as Batgirl instead of Oracle. It’s like people can’t conceive of including a woman in a wheelchair into their fanon.
Or when they do portray her as Oracle, it’s often with some melancholy reference to TKJ or not being Batgirl anymore. TKJ is referenced way too much in the comics too and it drives me nuts.
I love Babs as a character, both as Batgirl and as Oracle, so I get that Babs-Batgirl love. But the accumulation of these things, both in canon and fanon, doesn’t sit right with me.
